US Medical Supplies Wants to Give You $1,000 for School
US Medical Supplies is proud to announce the return of the Medical Professionals of Tomorrow Scholarship!
RALEIGH, NC, March 23, 2011 /Medical Products PR News/ -- US Medical Supplies, an online retailer of medical and mobility products, is proud to announce the return of the Medical Professionals of Tomorrow Scholarship for the fall 2011 semester. This scholarship, awarded every year, honors a student who is pursuing a career in the medical field with a $1,000 financial reward.
"We're proud to bring this scholarship back," said Tim Ziehwein, US Medical Supplies Vice President of sales. "The opportunity to award a student for pursuing a career in the medical field is something that we are proud to do each and every year."
Last year's winner was Cameron Waites, who wrote a profound response about his time in Iraq as a United States army medic and how the experience made him want to pursue a career in the medical field. "When we called up Cameron and told him he had won, he was ecstatic. He couldn't believe he had won. That's my favorite part of our scholarship: The ability to award it to students who truly deserve it, and hopefully we will be able to do the same thing this year."
To qualify for the Medical Professionals of Tomorrow Scholarship, students need to be enrolled full time in a college or graduate level program, have a 3.0 GPA, and be a legal resident of the United States. Students will also need to have one full year of college experience before they can be awarded the scholarship. The winner is then chosen based on an essay question to which students must respond in 500 words or more.
The Medical Professionals of Tomorrow Scholarship is set to kick off on March 28th, and applications will be accepted until June 6th.
