In November 2007, he redeployed his company in support of OIF 06-08 and inactivated the unit in February 2008.
CPT Wood attributes his success to his mentor, Major General Elder Granger, United States Army Medical Corps, and most of all to his father, Lieutenant (Ret) Richard E. CPT Wood is a graduate of the following military schools: Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, AMEDD Officer Basic Course, Captains' Career Course, Health Service Materiel Officer Course, Pre-Command Course, Airborne School, and Air Assault School.
