A certified physician assistant, Ms. Baker specializes in performing cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. She has more than 14 years of professional experience, two of which have been with Somanetics Corporation. In her current post, she is responsible for teaching clinicians on medical technology and working as liaison between the sales department and clients. Her interest in cardiac surgery was the driving force behind her choice of career and she attributes her success to being goal-oriented.
Ms. Baker received her Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine with a minor in chemistry from Hampton University in 1990 and her physician assistant certification through the Harlem Hospital Center of the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants in Cardiovascular Surgery. Her future endeavors include becoming a sales manager.
